About DAPA Checker

Many free authority checkers show a number without saying where it came from. Some invent a score, call it "DA" and give no way to tell it apart from Moz's real metric. People then buy links, price websites and report to clients based on numbers nobody can verify.

We wanted a checker that is honest about its data. When a score comes from Moz or Ahrefs, we label it with that source. When it's an estimate, we say so and publish how it was calculated.

Every result is built from these sources, and each number shows which one it used:

• Moz for real Domain Authority, Page Authority and Spam Score when a Moz API connection is available. Otherwise these are clearly labeled estimates.
• Ahrefs for real Domain Rating through its free public endpoint.
• Open PageRank as a fallback authority signal when Moz or Ahrefs data isn't available.
• Official records and live checks: RDAP and the Wayback Machine for domain age, the Spamhaus blocklist for reputation, a live HTTPS check and DNS resolution.

Every source, formula and known limitation is documented on our methodology page. We update it whenever the way we calculate a metric changes.

DAPA Checker is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Moz, Ahrefs or Google. "Domain Authority", "Page Authority" and "Spam Score" are Moz metrics, and "Domain Rating" is an Ahrefs metric. We use their names only to describe what we show.

Our articles explain SEO metrics in plain English. We link to primary sources, such as Moz, Ahrefs and Google Search Central documentation, for claims about how a metric or policy works. We don't promise rankings or quick score increases, because no honest tool can.

When a vendor changes how a metric works, we update the affected guides and show the new date at the top of the article. If you find a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it.

The single-domain and bulk checkers are free with no account. The site is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no influence on the scores we show or on what our guides say.
