Website DA Checker

Check the Domain Authority of any website — yours or a competitor's — free, with PA, DR and Spam Score in the same lookup.

One domain per line (or comma-separated) — up to 20 at once. No signup required.

How to check the DA of a website

Paste the address into the box above and the website DA checker returns a score from 1 to 100 in a few seconds. It works on any public site, so you do not need to own or verify the domain first.

You will get PA, DR and Spam Score in the same result. Those four together answer more than DA alone, which is why they are returned as a set rather than one at a time.

What your website’s DA actually tells you

DA estimates how well a site is positioned to rank, based mostly on the strength of its backlink profile. It is a comparative number, not a grade — useful against competitors, close to meaningless in isolation.

A DA of 25 can be strong in a quiet niche and weak in a crowded one. The only reading that means anything is against the sites you are actually competing with for the same keywords.

Checking competitor websites

The fastest use of a website DA checker is not on your own site. It is on the pages currently outranking you, because that tells you what the bar actually is.

Run the top five results for your target keyword. If they average DA 20, the gap is closeable with content and a handful of links. If they average DA 60, you are better off choosing a different keyword than out-linking them.

The compare tool puts up to five domains side by side if you would rather read them in one table.

Checking many websites at once

Checking sites one by one works until the list gets long. For prospect lists, client portfolios or competitor sets, the bulk checker handles the whole list in one pass.

Paste up to 100 domains or upload a CSV in the bulk domain authority checker, then export every metric back out as CSV. Free, and no account required.

Where our numbers come from

Our scores are independent estimates built from free, public data sources rather than a licensed commercial index, so they will not match Moz or Ahrefs exactly.

Every signal and weight is documented on the methodology page. Use one tool consistently to track change over time — mixing tools month to month measures the tools, not your site.

Frequently asked questions

Enter the website's address in the checker above and the DA score returns in a few seconds, alongside PA, DR and Spam Score. No account or signup is needed, and it works for any public website, not just your own.

Paste your domain into the checker to find out. If your site is new, expect a score in the single digits — that is normal and not a problem. DA grows as other sites begin linking to you.

Yes. DA is calculated from publicly visible link data, so any website can be checked without access or verification. This is what makes it useful for competitor research and link prospecting.

Authority metrics update as the underlying link data is recrawled, typically over weeks rather than days. Do not expect a visible change from one day to the next; track it monthly instead.

DA is driven mainly by links from other domains, not by publishing volume or on-page work. A site can add a hundred pages and move very little if none of them earned an external link. The metric is measuring something specific, and it is not effort.
