What this domain authority checker shows

Each check returns the Domain Authority score first, then the context you need to judge it. Most free checkers stop at the number. This one tells you where the number came from.

• Domain Authority, labeled Moz when it comes from Moz's API, or Estimated when Moz data isn't available for that check.
• A DR cross-check. The site's real Ahrefs Domain Rating sits next to DA, with a note on how far apart they are.
• Page Authority, Spam Score and basic site facts: domain age from the official registry, HTTPS status and a Spamhaus blocklist check.

How to check domain authority in 3 steps

1. Enter the domain. Type or paste it into the box. Full URLs work too; the checker strips the protocol and path.
2. Run the check. Results usually return in 2 to 5 seconds.
3. Read the source label and cross-check. A Moz label means measured data. An Estimated label plus a close DR means the estimate is anchored to real Ahrefs data.

Why the DA vs DR cross-check matters

Domain Authority (Moz) and Domain Rating (Ahrefs) measure the same thing from two separate link indexes. When they land close together, both vendors see a similar backlink profile, and you can trust the number more.

Reading your Domain Authority score

Domain Authority is relative and logarithmic. A score only means something next to the sites you compete with, and each point is harder to earn than the last.

How Moz calculates Domain Authority

Moz builds Domain Authority with a machine learning model trained on real Google results. The model weighs how many unique root domains link to a site and how strong those linking domains are, then compares the result with every other domain in Moz's link index. Moz documents the metric on its Domain Authority page.

Where the numbers come from

DA, PA and Spam Score are labeled Moz only when Moz's official API returns them. Otherwise DA is estimated from the site's real Ahrefs Domain Rating and labeled Estimated. DR itself is always Ahrefs' own value, or N/A when Ahrefs has none.
